AI engineer working with code and model metrics

About the Role

The Agents team builds the runtime that lets Arshan agents plan, call tools, recover from errors and explain what they did. It is one of the most used and most demanding parts of the platform, handling millions of steps a day for customers in finance, healthcare and retail.

As a Senior AI Engineer you will work closely with research, product and enterprise customers to turn promising ideas into reliable, observable systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and build agent orchestration, tool-calling and memory systems in Python and Go.
  • Develop evaluation suites and guardrails that measure reliability, safety and cost.
  • Optimise inference latency and spend across hosted and self-hosted models.
  • Partner with customers on complex deployments and feed what you learn back into the roadmap.
  • Mentor engineers and raise the bar on code quality, testing and on-call practice.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of software engineering, with 3+ years building ML or LLM systems in production.
  • Strong Python, plus experience with distributed systems and cloud infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience with retrieval, fine-tuning or agent frameworks.
  • A habit of measuring things: you reach for evals and dashboards before opinions.
  • Clear written communication across time zones.

Nice to have

  • Experience with Kubernetes, Ray or GPU scheduling.
  • Published research or open-source contributions in ML.

  1. 30-minute intro call with the hiring manager
  2. Take-home or live technical exercise (your choice)
